Hoffmann-Vespa

In 1950 Vespa was made under license by the Hoffmann factory in Lintorf. The so-called „Hoffmann“-Vespa was available with a stick-shift and later with cable controlled gear-change. In 1954 the model „Königin“ (queen) was introduced with a fender-light and a headlight on the handlebar. Engine parts and most body parts are identically with the italian fender-light models.
T1 von Messerschmitt
This model was the first 150cc model for the German and Italian market. You will recognize this model by the chromed handlebar with headlight. Coulors were a 2-tone blue/grey as well as red/grey.
T2-T3 von Messerschmitt und Augsburg
These models were made only in Germany. While the T2 has an open cable control (viewable), the T3 has a closed cable control (same as GS3). Both models have 10-inch wheels.
125 Touren I,II/150 T4 von Vespa-Augsburg
As well these are special German models. 125 T1 and T2 (8-inch wheels) and 150 T4 (10-inch wheels) look very similar to their Italian companions VNA-VBB models. The side panels of the Italian models do not fit so well. The electric has been changed (DC instead of AC). It is possible to use a P-range engine in these frames.
GS1-3 erst Messerschmitt, dann Augsburg
GS1 similar to T2 with open cable control and closed type 10-inch wheels. Only available in silver (except export model to the UK)
GL, Sprint, GS4 Augsburg

The GS4 was the successor of the traditional GS3. In this model, only painted in white, was also changed the electric from AC - without battery to DC - with battery. They also did with the GL and later the Sprint model, wich were build parallel. The indicators fixed on the side-panels, indicator switch, horn and type sign weren´t changed.
